FAQ’s

1. Is my booking confirmed immediately?

All appointments must be approved before they are confirmed. If for any reason we’re unable to accept your request, your payment will be refunded immediately.

2. When are appointments available?

We’re currently offering Wash Day Sundays up to April 27th only. This is a soft launch based on high demand. We hope to continue this offering beyond April depending on how it goes.

3. Can non-members book during the week?

No—Wash Day appointments for non-members are only available on Sundays. If you book a wash or removal during the week without a membership, your appointment will be declined and refunded, or we’ll contact you to reschedule for a Sunday.

4. Do I have to pay upfront?

Yes—all Wash Day Sunday appointments must be paid in full at the time of booking. This applies to both members and non-members.

This is a premium and exclusive service that falls outside of our usual appointment structure, which is why it is charged at full price for everyone, including members.

5. What’s included with my appointment?

Every Wash Day service includes a £5 voucher to spend at La Vie Café, either during or after your appointment. The voucher is non-transferable and must be used on the same day.

6. When should I get my braids removed?

We recommend booking your removal no later than 6–8 weeks after having your braids installed. If your braids have been in for longer, we may apply a surcharge based on how much extra time is required to safely take them out.

7. Do you offer curly cutting?

At the moment, we do not offer curly cutting, but we highly recommend the following stylists who specialise in this:

  • Crowned in Purpose
  • Curly Gal Chlo
  • Hair King Callum
  • Mancunian Bounce

    We are working on getting training to offer a simplified version of curly cuts in future, especially for those who don’t want their hair stretched with a blowdry.

8. What products do you use during the service?

We tailor your wash day based on your hair’s needs. Products are carefully selected from trusted brands like:

  • KeraCare
  • Design Essentials
  • Kurl Kitchen
  • Shedid & Parrish

    We also use a steamer during the conditioning process to help your hair absorb maximum moisture.

9. Can I get my hair styled after the wash?

Yes—we offer simple, protective styling options post-wash, such as:

  • Two low-tension cornrows
  • Under-wig cornrows

    These can be added on during your appointment if you’d like to leave the salon fully prepped for the week ahead.


10. Is this a permanent service?

Wash Day Sundays is an exclusive, limited-time service introduced due to high demand. We are currently offering it until April 27th. After this date, we will review feedback, structure, and scheduling to determine if we can continue. While we hope to offer this long-term, it is not guaranteed in its current form.
